Shervin Molayem, D.D.S.

He has lectured and has published in the field of dental implants, periodontics, and oral-systemic connection. He is the co-founder of Pair Dental (formerly Synergy Specialists), the largest agency for travelling dental specialists.

Dr. Molayem has been practicing periodontics in a private practice setting in Southern California for more than 11 years. More recently, he has been conducting research and has published the most comprehensive connection to date between the mouth and Covid-19 in the Journal of the California Dental Association, as well as his latest breakthrough research titled The COVID-19 Pathway, which has the potential to have a huge impact on further understanding this deadly virus and reduce COVID severity. He is also the founder of the Mouth Body Research Institute, who’s goal is to expand the understanding of the impact of oral conditions, such as gum disease, on other organs and body systems. Because several highly prevalent non-communicable diseases are influenced by oral conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and COVID-19 among others, integrating oral care into primary health care can ultimately enhance patient health and wellbeing.
