Dr. Molayem takes a minimally invasive approach to treatment, with a preference for saving teeth wherever possible. He takes into account the systemic effects of bacteria that originate in the gums and teeth.

Dr. Molayem is the proud founder of both the UCLA and USC Journals of Dental Research — The Explorer, now in their 12th and 10th years of publication, respectively. He has conducted and published research in the field of dental implants.


TEACHING & MENTORSHIP


Dr. Molayem is widely regarded as a leader in dental education. He served as a course instructor and lecturer, having trained numerous dentists in dental implant placement. In his role as co-founder of Synergy Specialists, he leads clinical mentorship and training of newer graduating periodontists and surgeons through webinars and training videos.

He maintains a professional Instagram presence with over 35,000 followers, where he posts detailed case documentation and educates the international dental community (@dentalsurgeon).

Dr. Molayem proudly places Nobel Biocare dental implants, considered among the top two implant systems in the world. Nobel Biocare is the most widely used of the approximately 200 dental implant companies globally and carries the most extensive research portfolio in the field.

Dr. Molayem also offers non-metal ceramic dental implants, which have demonstrated reduced peri-implant inflammation.

Dr. Molayem actively pursues lifelong learning through attendance at multiple national conferences and lectures each year, as well as regular review of current peer-reviewed scientific literature in periodontics and implantology.


PERSONAL

Having grown up and practiced in Beverly Hills, Dr. Molayem has been fortunate to treat a number of notable patients from the entertainment industry, including Mariah Carey. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys hiking, barbecuing, reading to his daughters, and spending time at the beach. He is happily married with two daughters.
