Why You Should See a Cosmetic Dentist?
As health sciences mature, so do approaches to theories of wellness, happiness, and health. It is important to understand that mental and emotional happiness can have as much bearing on a person’s well-being as their diet. Scientific evidence supports the idea that a good smile can improve a person’s quality of life in more than a few ways. People with good smiles find themselves to be more successful in business, finding a partner, having a higher level of confidence, and generally enjoying a higher quality of life, than those with poor smiles. We are dedicated to creating beautiful, lasting smiles for all our patients.
Our Approach to Cosmetic Dentistry
Everyone knows that no two fingerprints are identical. The same can be said about a person’s teeth. Each person’s teeth differ naturally. However, we all have an idea of what a good smile looks like. Look at any celebrity or movie star and you’re likely to notice a set of clean, straight, pearly whites. It’s likely that a majority of these individuals have been treated by a professional cosmetic dentist at one point or another. At BDG, we understand that every person is unique and that our teeth do not naturally occur this way. We take the time to address every person’s smile/tooth profile differently and treat your unique set of teeth appropriately.

- Teeth Whitening – Drinking dark fluids like wine and coffee can cause prominent stains to your teeth. Though stained or discolored teeth aren’t an indicator of unhealthy teeth, they are not usually desirable. Whitening can be achieved a number of ways. Traditional techniques address discoloration by using gel-like bleach in tooth trays. Modern techniques subject teeth to focused lasers to achieve whitening. Our dentists provide routine whitening to maintain a healthy looking smile.
- Dental Implants – provide a foundation for a number of dental prosthetics. An example of a dental implant would be a metal root. The root acts the way a natural one would, anchoring a tooth or prosthetic to the jaw and preventing movement. Further, roots or anchors adhere and bond with the jaw bone naturally, literally integrating with your bone structure. Dental implants improve the functionality as well as the appeal of your teeth.
- Dental Bonding – is a cost-effective treatment intended to address a number of cosmetic issues. Dental bonding can be used to:
repair chipped or cracked teeth, whiten discolored teeth, close gaps in teeth, change the shape of teeth, etc. During a bonding procedure, a unique dental resin is applied and ‘bonded’ to a patient’s tooth. The resin becomes a permanent and natural looking part of the tooth. After the resin is bonded to the tooth, the dentist shapes and polishes the resin. Afterward, you won’t be able to tell your bonded tooth from your natural ones!
- Veneers – are thin sheets of dental porcelain or composite that are cemented to a tooth. Veneers used to treat the same conditions as dental bondings but last much longer. The lifespan of a bonding treatment is around 5-7 years while a veneer can last about 30 years. Additionally, veneers are more durable, harder to stain, and can appear much more desirable than dental bondings.
We love seeing our patients smile. The simplest pleasures in life are sometimes enjoying the simple things. We are more than just a dentistry, we are committed to our patient’s happiness and healthiness.
