Mehdi Nayssan, D.D.S.
After graduating from dental school abroad and immigrating to the United States, Mehdi Nayssan, D.D.S. continued to further his education and graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in June of 1981. After completing all the necessary coursework for foreign-trained dentists, he established his first dental practice in Los Angeles in 1983, and later attended the University of Los Angeles (UCLA) TMJ and Facial Pain mini-residency program before founding the Bedford Dental Group in Beverly Hills, California.
He continues to practice both general and advanced cosmetic dentistry and is involved in all forms of general dentistry. His work includes root canals, oral surgery and all types of gum treatment.
Dr. Nayssan has been married to his wife Lisa for 33 years and they have two beautiful children. Their daughter has recently graduated from top tier Law School in May of 2012 and their son, Daniel Naysan, is a partner at Bedford Dental Group following his father’s foot step in becoming an accomplished dentist. In his spare time, Dr. Mehdi volunteers his dental services for the needy or underprivileged as well as the American Red Cross. His time spent with the organization, Delancy Street, which helps the underprivileged rehabilitate their smile in order for them to obtain employment, was one of the more rewarding experiences of his life. He also enjoys hiking, watching basketball, football, soccer and other sports with his family.
Daniel Naysan, D.D.S.
Daniel Naysan, D.D.S., earned is BS in gerontology from the University of Southern California (USC) before attending dental school there, where he received his DDS. Daniel is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA) and Los Angeles Dental Society, and is also a member of the Alpha Omega dental fraternity. He has earned an advanced certification for treating patients with the Invisalign system and is a 2009 Invisalign Premier Provider. Dr. Naysan also continues to practice all forms of general and advanced cosmetic and general dentistry.
Apel Keuroghlian, D.D.S.
Dr. Apel Keuroghlian is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon that graduated from UCLA. His career began with a biomedical/biochemical engineering degree from the University of Southern California, where he graduated among the top of his class. Throughout his undergraduate education in engineering, Dr. Keuroghlian researched the effects of the different surface characteristics of implants and their integration with bone. He later decided to further his education by obtaining a dental degree from USC.
While at the USC School of Dentistry, Dr. Keuroghlian received several endowed scholarships for academics/research including the California Dental Association research scholarship and academic scholarship as well as the Class of 1964 endowed scholarship. He once again graduated amongst the top of his class. Dr. Keuroghlian truly enjoyed the surgical aspect of dentistry while in dental school and decided to further his education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UCLA which includes a Medical Degree from UCLA as well as a internship certificate in general surgery. He currently holds a faculty position at UCLA as well. Dr. Keuroghlian truly enjoys what he does and is committed to enhancing patient care by integrating his engineering, dental and surgical skills and education. He hopes to pursue research in the future, but is dedicated to patient care as his first priority. Dr. Keuroghlian is fluent in both English and Armenian. When not working, Dr. Keuroghlian enjoys travelling, skiing, playing basketball or just hanging out with his friends.
Shervin Molayem, D.D.S.
Dr. Molayem received his bachelorette degree from UCLA. He continued his education at the prestigious UCLA School of Dentistry for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation, he was the recipient of the Nathan A. Styrt Scholarship Award, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity president’s plaque, and Award of Excellence by the IADA for his leadership in promoting diversity and community outreach programs at UCLA. In pursuit of his passion for surgery and dental implants, he got accepted into a rigorous 3 year specialty program in Periodontics, Dental Implants, and Reconstructive Surgery at USC School of Dentistry. He is the Founder of both the UCLA and USC Journals of Dental Research. He has conducted extensive research in the field of dental implants. Additionally, he has presented his research on Immediate Implants nationally and lectured internationally on topics of periodontics and dental implants.
Dr. Shervin Molayem comes from a long line of family dentists. His grandfather, a prominent general dentist, instilled a strong work ethic and love of dentistry to his son and four of his grandchildren.
Dr. Molayem is an active member of organized dentistry at the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, American Academy of Periodontology, and American Academy of Osseointegration.
